Cases

(1) Example of electrophysiological measurement software

The figure below shows the software for simultaneous four-channel patch-clamp recordings. The software is designed to allow efficient operation during experiments, such as viewing recorded waveforms and generating stimulus waveforms, by changing tabbed screens. By introducing some more devices, combined measurements such as local field potential (LFP) recordings, can be available. It is also possible to expand the input/output channels for recording/stimulation and send triggers to other devices (CCD camera, LED light source) to suit the user's experimental design. For example, it can output signals to control light irradiation in synchronization with electrophysiological recordings, and can be combined with optogenetic techniques such as channelrhodopsin stimulation.
